Litchfield County Barn

A rough-sawn pine timber frame barn in Litchfield County, CT designed, cut, and raised by Uncarved Block. The frame features continuous 30' tie beams, and 28' plates as would be seen in a traditional New England barn.

Litchfield County Barn

Uncarved Block designed, cut, and raised a very traditional purlin-posted timber frame for a working organic farm in Litchfield County, CT. The pine logs were harvested from the farm in Washington, CT, and milled into the many pieces of the 30 x 60’ barn. Our specialty sawyers cut the continuous 30 foot long 10” x 12” tie beams, and several 28 foot long plates help tie the frame together.
